Due to poor employment status with high turn of agriculture and forest resources for mining and industries, the tribal and youths belongs from backward families are struggling for their live and livelihood. Most of the mining area families are now under the grab of mining giants/mafias. Other side the non-timber forest produces are now dream for the tribals to cope with their additional livelihood through selling the produces. All the forest resources are gone away due to mining. Employment as assured by the mine/plant is no more beneficial for the communities who are losing their land and forest. In this context the skill development for enhancing their livelihood is the only way to resolve the present situation. In our last decades of experience in skill development, we have seen that more than 80% of the tribal youths who obtained trainings are now self-sufficient at their own level. .
Apart from skill development for the rural and tribal youths, the tribal women, who were the key player to earn for their families are lying vacant due to external problems, lack of knowledge and skills. Though the resources are available in their surroundings, they should be nurtured properly and develop their capacity on business plan development, value chain analysis on surplus agriculture produces and Non timber forest produces. Apart from that, in our experience, tribal women in the district will be imparted training on mushroom cultivation, preparing organic manures which helps them to earn more. We have good backyard for practical training programme on these aspects.
